French union of oil industries

The French Union of Oil industries (UFIP) is the professional organization gathering the oil companies operative in France. Its mission is to represent the economic interests and industrialists of its members in their spheres of activity:

  • exploration and the production
  • the refining
  • the transport and distribution of the refined products.

The UFIP assumes this role near the elected officials, of the Government, the Administrations, associations and other professional organizations as well as media.

Its mission

  • To develop the points of view of Oil industry near the thirds.

  • To take care of obtaining and the maintenance of transparent and equitable rules of competition between energies, the countries and the various French operators.
  • To promote suitable and effective technical regulations: specifications produced, hygiene, safety, environment,…
  • To facilitate the social dialog for the whole of the oil profession.

Functions of the UFIP

Twelve standing committees are charged to define the positions and the actions of the UFIP according to the orientations and Council Decisions. They are consisted of the persons in charge and experts of the various fields within the principal companies members of the UFIP. Chaired by one of them, they are assisted collaborators of the permanent structure of the UFIP. They give an account of their action to the Acting general.
