French legislative Elections of 1968
The legislative elections of 1968 took place June 23rd and 30th 1968, after the dissolution of the National Assembly by the President of the Republic Charles de Gaulle to answer the crisis of May 68 (IV {{E}} legislature). The left parties, then considered as partially responsible of the aforesaid the crisis, have undergoes a cuisante demolished with the profit of the outgoing majority, which had however tested serious difficulties of carrying it at the time of the preceding elections.
