French institute of architecture

the French Institute of architecture is an organization created in 1981 to ensure the promotion of the French contemporary architecture, a long time localized street of Tournon with Paris, the IFA is today one of the three departments of the Cité of architecture and the inheritance to the Palais of Chaillot.

Ifa is all at the same time place of reflection, of exposure and memory of architecture Des. It is before a whole producer of programs devoted to the diffusion of alive architectural creation in France and abroad towards a large range of public.

He also saw himself entrusting, by the Direction of the files of France, the mission of “intermediate center of traitemen T” near the public records. To ensure this mission, a service called was created “Centers files of architecture of the 20th century” (Rue of Tolbiac in the 13 {{E}} district of Paris), opened with the public since [[1989]].
