French highway A45

A45 highway is a French highway under development. It would be exploited by a company of highways (nongiven). It will be with Péage.

The public survey of A45 took place between the November 24th 2006 and January 20th 2007.

Its course

A45 highway relates to the project of doubling of the highway | A47 | between Saint-Etienne and Lyon, more precisely between Pierre-Bénite and Fouillouse.

Currently, A450 connects Pierre-Bénite and Brignais by a section initially built to 2 ways then last with 2x2 ways.

Controversies

Many associations are mobilized against this project which they consider unsuited to the specific tendencies to our time: Pollution, high cost of the Fuel S, increase in the rate of CO2 in the atmosphere… They preach other respectful solutions of sustainable development:

improvement of the rail link Lyon/Saint-Etienne,
the development of public transport,
the existing rehabilitation of A47,
the promotion of the marketing of the local products to reduce useless transport.
