French federation of studies and underwater sports

The French federation of studies and underwater sports (FE) is the federation which received Ministry for the sports delegation for the discipline of the underwater sports. Other associations are also approved for deep-sea diving such as the National association of the monitors of diving (ANMP), the National company of the monitors of diving (SNMP) and the sporting and gymnic Fédération of work (FSGT).

FE is a founding member of the world Confédération of the subaqueous activities (CMAS) gathering many federations similar to FE all over the world. Nevertheless, the American main organization Profession Association off Divine Instructors (PADI), does not form any more part of the CMAS.

The ancestor of this federation was created in 1948 and was the Fédération of the underwater study and angling clubs to the stroke

FE is created fusion in 1955 of this federation and Fédération of the underwater activities, created in 1948 also.

Commissions

FE manages twelve subaqueous activities via commissions; thus for example deep-sea diving raises of the Commission Plunged out of diving-suit, the Apnea raises of the Commission Plunged free, the Stroke with Palms of the Commission Swims with Palms, etc…; FE is moreover present on the whole of the national territory and in addition to sea thanks to its regional and departmental decentralized organizations which decline locally the same commissions as with the national plan:

The license

The license FE is a certificate of affiliation to the federation which contains a Assurance in Civil responsibility for the activity and which is worth license of underwater Chasse for the most 16 years. It is essential for the participation in the competitions and the passage of levels FE of diving. Moreover, much of French clubs ask it to be able to plunge on their premises.

In addition, within FE, the license makes it possible to subscribe with the re-examined federal Subaqua with a preferential rate.

Deep-sea Diving

FE is the most important federation of Plongée underwater in France. It defines 5 levels of practice of the diving and 3 levels of teaching:
