French federation of handball
The ''' French federation of handball ''' ( FFHB ) is a French association founded law 1901 on September 1st 1941 by taking the continuation of a first federation known as Messine (because founded with Metz) created on October 1st 1935. It is the authority managing the Handball in France with delegation of the International federation of handball (IHF) and of the Ministère of Youth and the Sports.
FFHB has the role of organizing and of developing Handball in France (metropolis and Outre-Mer). For that, it is pressed on 32 regional leagues (24 metropolitan leagues and 8 in addition to-marine leagues), 95 local departmental committees and approximately 2400 Clubs.

In 2006, FFHB set up a new Information system Trade " Gest' Hand" in the form of Extranet accessible to the unit from these structures.
This system makes it possible to manage:
- licenses,
- competitions,
- the arbitration,
- the discipline,
- and soon (at the end of 2007) follow-ups of the careers (Players & Technicians).
In addition, 2007 is one year important for the Federation which organizes the championship of the Féminin world which will take place in December.
