French federation of basketball
The French federation of Basketball (FFBB) is a Association law of 1901 charged to organize, develop and manage the Basket-ball in France. She is recognized by the Ministère of the sports and by the International federation of basketball (FIBA).
The French federation of basketball is created in 1932. Before this date the basketball was managed in France by the French federation of athletics. In 1933, the FFBB is affiliated at the International federation of basketball (FIBA).
Organization
The FFBB is made up of 33 regional leagues and 108 Committees. Its direction is ensured by a Management Committee (35 members) and by a President (the members of the Committees Management and the President are elected for 4 years). The current President is Yvan Mainini.

The stammerings (1920)
The Basket-ball officially became a sport in France in 1920, it is then under the aegis of the French federation of athletics.
