French established out of France
The French established out of France are today more than two million, that is to say as much as the French of the four overseas departments.
Almost half of the French established out of France are the binationaux ones and less than 10% are temporary expatriates. More half of the French established out of France live in Europe.
The French established out of France are represented by the Assemblée of the French from abroad, organization advisory without means nor of being able, if it is not that to elect the 12 Senators representing the French established out of France. Three political parties represent the French from abroad:
- the Gathering of the French from abroad and the Union of the French from abroad, one like the other of tendency UMP,
- the democratic Association of the French from abroad - French of the World, near of the socialist and parliamentary left.
