French committee of education for health

The Cfes or French Comité of education for health is a French association creates in 1972 and dissolved in December 2002.

History

In August 1972, the CFES replaced the National committee of medical education demographic and social creates in 1945. The CFES works in close cooperation with the regional committees and departmental of education for health which relay and amplify on the ground the national campaigns and, especially, impel local actions meeting the specific needs of the areas and the departments. It publishes the review the Health of the man , creates in 1942.

With the law of the March 4th 2002 relating to the rights of the patients and the quality of the health system, the French Committee of education for health was replaced by the National institute of prevention and education for health (INPES), an administrative public corporation of the State to the widened missions.

Missions

Elected by the ministry for Health to conceive and implement the great actions of promotion of health: communication, information and education.

With this intention the CFES implemented national actions defined with the ministry for the social Affairs and henceforth with the Funds national of prevention, education and information medical of the Health insurance; realize and coordinates specific actions, in relation to the public agencies which elect it; observe and measures the evolutions of the attitudes and behaviors of the company with respect to health; attempts to support a major anchoring, thanks to the actions of proximity, of the messages of education and promotion of health.

The CFES is seen entrusting important budgets since 1976, with the implementation of multiannual programs of medical and social education. Its operational budget, from approximately 84 million Euro S in 1993, came mainly from the State, the Health insurance, CNAV and CCMSA (Case central of reciprocity social agricultural). The CFES was composed of 45 paid in 1993.
