French association of the cinema of animation

The French Association of the cinema of animation (Afca) work since 1971 to promote and diffuse cartoon film near the largest audience, in France and abroad.

For this purpose, it organizes regular cartoon film projections in Paris (" Animathèque"), the Festival of Auch (in Gers) every 2 years and it coordinates the Festival of the cinema of animation, 15 days of demonstrations being held each year, at the end of October, everywhere in France. Moreover, it publishes a Newsletter and punctually specialized works, it organizes professional meetings, manages its Internet site (www.afca.asso.fr), shelters a Resource center (documentation, video library, databases, council and orientation) devoted to French cartoon film in particular, but also foreign. Afca counts today more than 250 members (professional, student and amateurs of cinema of animation) and it also represents the International association of cartoon film (Asifa) in France, by the means of the " group; Afca-Asifa France".
