French Stereophony-Club

Founded in 1903, the French Stereophony-Club is a association with nonlucrative, standard goal Loi of 1901, aiming at promoting the Stéréoscopie and the stereoscopic image in all its forms:

  • stereophotography (or photographs stereoscopic)

  • Vidéo in relief
  • Cinéma in relief
  • Dessin in relief
  • images with network
  • Holographie

Association

The French Stereophony-Club joins together more than 500 members remaining for half in area Île-de-France, and for other half in the other areas, or other countries, French-speaking people or not.

The French Stereophony-Club publishes since 1904 a monthly bulletin, heading recently Stereoscopic images , been used and opened for all its members, or available by subscription

Practice of the stereoscopic image

The members of the French Stereophony-Club practice for their pleasure or within the framework of their community activities of the various techniques of which, essentially:

  • the taken of stereoscopic sight in silver and numerical;
  • observation with the Stereoscope, in Anaglyph S on paper or screen of computer;
  • the projection in relief silver or numerical, Anaglyph S or polarized light;
  • the Video in relief, opened with the greatest number thanks to the possibilities of recent APN and with new software easy to use.

Some specialists regularly create corrugated images and Hologramme S.

Activities

Meetings take place four times per month with Paris, in the district of the Gare Saint-Lazare: teaching of the stereoscopic techniques, working sessions, monthly meetings with projections in polarization, discussions on the images of the participants, exposed technical, meetings of library.

Regional meetings take place regularly: the Aquitanian and Geneva are currently the two large poles of animation.

Congresses

International congresses, within the framework of the International union of Stéréoscopie, take place every two years in organizing countries.

In alternation, the French Stereophony-Club organizes national meetings.

deliver “Stereoscopic images of today”

The book Stereoscopic images of today was published in 2003 at the time of the centenary of the French Stereophony-Club. It is available in French or French-English bilingual edition.

Supplies

The French Stereophony-Club helps its members to get the small untraceable supplies in the trade.

It sends a pair of two-tone glasses for the observation of the anaglyphic images, for example on screen of computer, with which makes the request of it.
