Freiburg-Gottéron

Freiburg-Gottéron is a club of Hockey of the town of Freiburg in Suisse.

It evolves/moves in National league has and is pulled by Serge Pelletier assisted Rene Matte.

Its president is Daniel Baudin.

History

The Freiburg-Gottéron club was founded on February 1st 1937 by six young people of the low-city of Freiburg. The March 4th 1980, Freiburg-Gottéron arrived in National league has, after having beaten Zurich by 6-0. In 1982, a new skating rink is built, Saint-Léonard.

The July 4th 1990, Slava Bykov and Andrej Khomutov integrate the club. In 1992, Freiburg-Gottéron is qualified for the play-offs. Gottéron met Ambri-Piotta in semi-final before conceding the victory of the Swiss championship in Bern.

For the season 1992-93, Freiburg-Gottéron takes part in the Coupe Spengler. In regular season, " yellows and noirs" finish in the second place and started initially the play-offs against Zurich, then against Ambri-Piotta. In spite of some problems due to wounds, Freiburg managed to be qualified for the final. But the championship escapes the team again, against Kloten.

At the time of the season 1993-94, Freiburg was found once again finally against Kloten. The championship escapes to him for the third consecutive time. For the seasons 1994-95 and 1995-96, Freiburg was held in the medium of classification LNA. The following year, the club is found 2nd at the end of the regular season and is qualified for the semi-finals of the play-offs like for the " European League" Hockey;.

The October 30th 1997, Freiburg-Gottéron became a public limit company.

Since the season 2003-2004, Freiburg-Gottéron was not qualified any more for the play-offs, being each year condemned to the play-outs. However, Gottéron S is each time maintained in LNA. In 2006, Gottéron had even due to play the stoppings against HC Bienne, champion of LNB. The dragons were drawn 4-2 and had thus avoided relegation.
