Freedom For King Kong

Freedom For King Kong , also indicated under the Initials FFKK , is a group of metal/fusion French born in 1994 and originating in Lorient. They invented Goril' Musik: a mixture of electronic music, reggae and metal. The group was made known by the scene. They indeed have several hundreds in concerts to their credit (in France, Germany, Bosnia, the United States, Switzerland, Belgium…)

The formation of origin is made up of 4 musicians:

Bring' S - Singer
Djey - Guitar
Bux2 or Bubu - Low
Cédric - Battery

After having changed beater (Nico replacing Cédric), the line up is packed: Ton' S with the keyboards brings electro sonorities. The texts of Bring' S are based on values like the respect of others or revolts it of all the forms of exclusion. The guitars of Djey cover the fronts metal, rhythmic reggae light or underground.

In 2003, with Walk or Dream, the third album of the group, the pallet grows rich, while remaining faithful to its emotions first: the Rock'n'roll, the Groove, the Electro.

For the fourth album, Resulting from this Body, Nico is replaced by Ben with the battery. Left in April 2006, this last album integrates a mixture of rock'n'roll into large guitars, electro programmings, subversive texts and a sometimes melody song sometimes stressed.

" One chose this name a little by chance at the beginning because the patronym sounded and it was percussion. One wanted of a name which represents a certain energy and an overflowing emotion, and after one realized that the chance makes the things well because this character is nevertheless one of largest marginal of our time, of our era, at the mythical level in any case. And also this name represents the social and human ideas which one would like to develop through our songs and our textes."

In 2007, the group decided to separate for " one indéterminée" duration; , each member continuing his musical adventure within other formations.

The last concerts will take place from May 17th to 19th 2007, with Lorient in Brittany, the 21 in Trabando of Paris and the 25 with St-Brieuc.
