The Free patriotic current (CPL) - rear RTL التيارالوطنيالحر - ( Al Tayyar Al Watani Al Horr ) is a political movement founded Libanais in 1992 by the general Michel Aoun.
La birth of the Current was done in an economic situation of pressure popular around resistance to the Syrian military offensive, release, return to the capacity of the right and rebuilding of the Lebanese nation.
Many all confused confessions are the patriots, exiled in France in 1990, which had contributed to the creation of the party.
With elections legislative of June 2005, CPL gained 21 seats in areas Christian (on the 128 that includes/understands the Lebanese Parliament), with more than 60% of the votes in these areas.
The CPL worked out a program including/understanding of the economic plans and policies to rebuild the Lebanese economy, to eliminate corruption, to extend the authority of the government on all the Lebanese territory and to seek to know why Lebanon was involved in debt.
February 6th, 2006, the CPL got along with the Hezbollah for better taking its action.
Into April 2006, the CPL has been officially transformed into a political party, one also says for this free day left patriotic (rear RTL الحزبالوطنيالحر).
The orange is the color of the party, it was adopted concretely for the first time at the time of the bys-election of Baabda-Aley in September 2003, that is to say well before the Orange revolution of Ukraine of October 2004 as one would tend to think it.
