Fredrik Bajer

Fredrik Bajer (April 21st 1837 - January 22nd 1922) is a writer, professor, pacifist politician and Danish which accepted the Nobel Prize of peace 1908.

Wire of Pasteur, Bajer was officer in the Danish army, combatant during the War of 1864 against the Prussia and the Austria, during which it was promoted first lieutenant. It was demobilized in 1865, then settled with Copenhagen, where he became professor, translator and writer.

It entered to the Danish Parliament in 1872, preserving its seat during 23 years.

It supported several pacifist organizations, in Denmark and in all Europe, and a law to seek agreements with the Sweden and the Norway. He was in particular president of the interparliamentary Union and the permanent International office of peace.
