Frederic de Bade-Durlach married Charlotte Amélie de Nassau (1710 - 1777), (girl of the Stathouder Jean Guillaume Friso d' Orange), prince de Nassau-Dietz, prince d' Orange.

Two children were born from this union:

  • Charles IV of Bade-Durlach or Charles Ier Frederic de Bade, margrave de Bade-Durlach then large-duke of Bade-Durlach

  • Guillaume Louis de Bade-Durlach (1732 - 1788)

Biography

Frederic de Bade-Durlach deceased before his father did not reign. It was his/her son Charles Ier Frederic de Bade-Durlach who succeeded his grandfather in 1738.

Frederic de Bade-Durlach belonged to the fourth branch of the Maison of Bade itself resulting from the first branch of the ducal House of Bade. Frederic de Bade-Durlach belonged to the line of Bade-Durlach known as line Ernestine founded by Ernest de Bade-Durlach. This always existing line is currently represented by the prince Maximilien de Bade.
