Biography

After the death of his father, Frederic Ier of Brunswick-Lunebourg reigned jointly with his brother on the principality of Lunebourg. He made build the castle of That, he improvement by new reforms the legal situation of the peasants. In 1452, it made build, with Heylig close to That, a monastery and made come from the franciscains. In 1457, it transmitted its capacities to his/her oldest son, Bernard II of Brunswick-Lunebourg and was withdrawn in a monastery. With died of his/her son junior Othon II occurred in 1471, it left its retirement to control Lunebourg during the minority of its grandson Henri Ier of Brunswick-Lunebourg (1468-1532) then three years old.
