Frederic-Dumas museum
The museum of underwater archeology of Sanary-on-Sea, installed in a Romance tower of the 13th century, recalls the life of the child of the Village, Frederic Dumas.
It was one of the 3 Mousquemers, precursors of the Plongée underwater. It took part in particular, with the commander Cousteau and Emile Gagnan with the development of the Détendeur of diving. It also took part in the realization of the film Le Monde of the silence which made discover the underwater world with the French.
