Fred Allen

Frederick (Fred) Richard Allen , born the February 9th 1920 in Oamaru New Zealand, is a former player of Rugby to XV New Zealand which plays with the All-Blacks. It evolved/moved like three quarter (1,78  m for 79  kg).

Career of player

He made his beginnings with the Blacks the September 14th 1946, at the time of a match against the Équipe of Australia. Its last test match was against the Équipe of South Africa, the August 13rd 1949.

Career of trainer

Allen was trainer of Auckland of 1957 to 1963, selector of AlBlackss in 1964-65 then trainer of Blacks of 1966 to 1968, period during which Blacks gained the 14 matches that they disputed.
