Frauenchiemsee
The Fraueninsel ( the island of the women ) is an island of the Chiemsee, a lake called the Bavarian sea .
This island is occupied by a convent which was rested by the duke of Bavaria in 780. After the attacks by the Hungarians between the 11th century and the 15th century the monastery had its apogee. During secularization in 1803 the convent lost its statute of monastery. The king Louis I {{er}} of Bavaria reconstituted it in 1837.
The island makes 300 Mètre S broad and 600 Mètre S length. There are 300 inhabitants out of 12 Hectare S.
