Frata

Frata is a commune of Transylvania, in Romania, in the Judeţ de Cluj. It is made up of the villages Frata , Berchieşu, Oaş, Olariu, Pădurea Iacobeni, Poiana Frăţii, Soporu de Câmpie.

Personalities

• Ioan Ploscaru (born the November 19th 1911, in Frata, the county of Cluj , today with the Judeţ de Cluj - deceased in 1998, with Lugoj, Judeţ de Timiş) was Évêque Rumanian gréco-catholic of Lugoj (1959 - 1996), political prisoner during communist terror (1949 - 1955 and 1956 - 1964), author of the memories: ( Lanţuri şi Teroare (in French: Chains and Terreur ), Editura Signata, Timişoara, 1993).
