Franz Xaver Fieber is a Entomologiste, born on March 1st 1807 with Prague and dead the February 22nd 1872 with Chrudim.

He is the son of Franz Anton Fieber and Maria Anna born Hantsehl. He studies at the polytechnic institute of Prague of 1824 with 1828. He starts to work in finance before becoming magistrate with Chrudim in Bohemia.

He is member of the Deutsche Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina. He is in particular the author of Die europäischen Hemiptera (1860) and of many other publications. In addition to the hémiptères, he studies the orthoptères.
