Franz Benda (in Czech: František Benda ) (* November 25th 1709 in Bohemia - † March 7th 1786 with Potsdam), brother of Jiří Antonín Benda, was a Compositeur and Violoniste at the court of Frederic II of Prussia. In 1734, it would have returned visit to Jean-Sebastien Bach to Leipzig.
It composed, inter alia, the Concerto for Flûte and orchestrates in minor ground, interpreted by the famous flutist Jean-Pierre Rampal (the first recording in 1955 was carried out with l´Orchestre of Czech room and Ars Rediviva, direction Milan Munclinger).
His/her daughter married the type-setter and German choirmaster Ernst Wilhelm Wolf.
