Franz-Gabriel Fiesinger

Franz-Gabriel Fiesinger is a German engraver born the March 11th 1723 with Offenbourg-in-Brisgau. Died the February 2nd 1807 in London. First of all it was Jesuit, until the abolition of the order in 1773. Then, raises in Germany of the painter Franz S. Stöber, it went to Switzerland and then to France where it engraved the portraits of the members of the national Convention. Thereafter, it reproduces in medallion according to Jean Urbain Guerin the portraits of the generals of the entourage of Napoleon, Kléber, Régnier, Masséna. It illustrated also the Physiognomonie of Lavater.
