Frank creation
the Site of Frank Creation is a municipal museum of the town of Bègles (the Gironde) devoted to the creators affiliated to the rough Art, the Na5ive art, self-educated Art, Singulier or Outsider. Its leitmotiv is the inventive art of the ordinary geniuses .
History
In 1988, the former General secretary of the town of Bègles, artist at his hours, Gerard Sendrey, then with the retirement, opens the Imago gallery. This space is dedicated to the presentation of works of singular artists, marginal or connected with the rough Art. The following year is inaugurated a collective exposure intended to become annual, the Jardiniers Memory . This exposure, with the support of No5el Mamère, Mayor of Bègles, founds the permanent opening to the public of an accommodating place of the exposures but also an important Collection, which takes the name of Site of Frank Creation. In 1996, the Site becomes Municipal Musée and point of disjunction today more than 10.000 works.
