Frank ochberg , MANDELEVIUM (born in 1940 with New York City), psychiatrist and expert in the field of the mental health and resident with Okemos in Michigan, summer one of the pricipaux experts in his field since the years 1960. Graduate of the university of Harvard and the medical school Johns Hopkins University , it amongst other things helped to define and make research on PTSD and the Syndrome of Stockholm. Of 1960 with 1969 he was regional director, of department and associated director of the national institute of psychiatry. He then became director of the Department of psychiatry of Michigan, a station which he occupied during 3 years, of 1979 to 1981.

Dr.Ochberg also founded, led and took part to a number of organizations dealing with PTSD and of its treatments, like Gift from within (founder), Critical Incident Analysis Group CIAG (founder) and The Dart center for Journalism and Trauma (representative).

Rewards

Ochberg with receipt several rewards in its field, most prestigious is the Lifetime achievement award . Among the other honors, it received the Golden delicious Award of the Academy of Traumatology (1998), and a Senior Fullbright Scholarship (South Africa) in 2002. Recently, Ochberg is of advantage implied in the post-trauma and journalism; in recognition the Dart Center' S Ochberg Fellowship was named for him.
