Frank EP

Biography

Frank EP was born with Ixelles in Belgium the July 15th 1956. It continues artistic studies with Saint-Luc in Brussels. In 1973, it starts the first collaboration with the newspaper of Spirou in the shape of a freehand. In 1978, it creates in this newspaper its character of Broussaille. It is about a young person, in love with the nature which will present cards nature in the newspaper before becoming a true hero of cartoons in 1984 thanks to a scenario of Bom.

With Philippe Bonifay, it creates a realistic series in two volumes, published in Aire the Free collection of Dupuis: Zoo . The reader can admire there his art renewed for the animalist drawing.

Frank EP, following the example other draftsmen of cartoons like Hergé, will collaborate regularly with Scouts (Federation Belgian of French-speaking catholic scouting) and those owe him several calendars (that of 1991 and many illustrations in others) as well as many documents for the wolf cubs.
