Francoise Verny

Francoise Verny , of her true name Francoise Delthil , born the November 26th 1928 with Neuilly-sur-Seine and deceased the December 14th 2004 with Paris, is a French editor .
Former student of the national university of Sevres, it studies the Philosophie, but it is quickly diverted teaching for the press. She works successively with international catholic Information, with the Echo of the mode, the Express train and New Ingenuous.
She enters in 1964 at Grasset where she remains 18 years. In 1982, it joined Gallimard, as associated a chairman Claude Gallimard, a transfer which does much noise in the medium. But it there remains only four years and, in 1986, becomes leading director and of the audio-visual development at Flammarion. She had returned, for little time, in 1995 in her first loves, Grasset. She had also worked for M6.
Practicing catholic, it is the auteure of several books on the religion.
The character of Francoise Verny is pastiche by Daniel Pennac under the features of the queen Zabo in the fairy rifle .
It is buried with the Cimetière of Montparnasse (the 5th division).
