Francoise Mallet-Joris , born Francoise Lilar the July 6th 1930 with Antwerp (Belgium), is a Flemish écrivaine of French expression. It is the girl of the minister Albert Lilar and the writer Suzanne Lilar.

Biography

Having married a French, Mallet-Joris has double Belgian nationality and Frenchwoman. She was married with Robert Amadou, Alain Joxe and Jacques Delfau. She has four children, Daniel Amadou and Vincent, Alberte and Pauline Delfau.

She made known herself with her novel the Rampart of Béguines , which evoked a history of love Lesbienne between an young girl and the new wife of her father.

She was also parolière of the singer Marie-Paule Belle.

Member of the Committee of the Price Femina of 1969 with 1971, it was unanimously elected with the Académie Goncourt in November 1971.

Distinctions

It received the Prix Femina in 1958 for the celestial Empire .
