Francoise Fabian

Francoise Fabian is a French Actrice , born in 1933 with Algiers (Algérie). After an artistic solid formation in Algiers, then with Paris, its cinematographic career starts in 1954 and will take all its dimension at the beginning of the Années 1970, and will turn with the most important realizers.

Biography

Beginnings

From her true name Michele the Cortes de Leone there Fabianera, Francoise Fabian was born the May 10th 1933, it has Spanish origins (Catalogne) by her Polish father and by her mother. She begins her artistic formation with the Academy of Music of Algiers, where she learns the piano and the harmony. After its baccalaureat it arrives at Paris at the beginning of the the Fifties, and is registered with the Conservatoire dramatic art, where it meets Jean-Paul Belmondo and Jean-Pierre Marielle. Jean Meyer, director of the Comédie-Française directs his first steps to the theater. Its first service is a role in 1954 in the part: the Pirate and it begins in 1955 with the cinema in Bon voyage from Louis Felix. In 1956, it appears in five films: Memories of a cop , Fire with the powders , This crowned gamine , the Dressmaker of these ladies and Michel Strogoff (see catalog of films). In 1957, it marries the Réalisateur Jacques Becker (1906 - 1960), but following the premature death of this one, it will not on the occasion to turn under its direction. In 1963, it marries Marcel Bozzuffi (1929 - 1988), with which it will remain until its death.

The career

During the Years 1960, it turns very regularly and works for realizers of foreground, Gilles Grangier ( Maigret sees red in 1963), Louis Malle ( the Robber in 1966), Luis Buñuel ( Belle of day in 1966 where it incarnates a prostitute in a brothel) and Eric Rohmer ( My night at Maud in 1969, it gives the counterpart to Jean-Louis Trintignant), of the roles where it lets show through her potential. In parallel, it continues a rich person career with the theater, and works for directors such as Michael Cacoyannis, Jacques Charon, Jorge Lavelli, Jean Marais, Marcel Maréchal, Pierre Mondy, Yasmina Reza, Claude Santelli or Jacques Weber.
