Francoise - Germinal

Tenth album published in France of the singer Francoise Hardy. This disc, heading Francoise , left in spring 1970. It is also the first of its new business of production. In sign of the revival, it is identified Germinal on the section of the small pocket.

Setting in prospect for the album

Beginning 1969, Francoise Hardy records Super 45 turns with the song, the blue Hour . After its exit, the Vogue company distributes in France one 2nd album sung in English. Then, the singer leaves an individual with I cut the telephone and the Fingers in the door . Against its will, its recording company sand-gravel mix two songs recorded in 1965 for the German market: the Sea (Charles Trenet - Albert Lasry) and the dead Sheets (Jacques Prévert - Joseph Kosma) for another individual and reiterates by making them appear in one 33 turns (compilation of songs in German, English and Italian). In dissension with its recording company on several points, a lawsuit ratifies the rupture with the Vogue house at the end of 1969.

Francoise Hardy preserved her rights on her preceding productions made under the Asparagus label, that it created in 1967. A new business is assembled under the name of Hypopotam. The singer can finally do what she wishes without dealing with commercial contingencies and decides to publish an album without delaying.

Because of the presence of 4 successes, resulting from its two 33 preceding turns, this new opus would tend to be connected with a compilation. However, the presence of the song, Loving You - coming from its album In English , published in France but little distributed -, of the title Träume - drawn from the album éponyme published in Germany - and of 6 new songs in 33 turns - chosen among the 3 last 45 turns distributed by the house Sails -, justifies to make it appear in the list of its albums. It is the stake of a decisive stage in its career.

The photograph of small pocket is of Benjamin Auger. The distribution is made by Sonopresse.
