Francofolies

The Francofolies are a festival of music created in 1984 with La Rochelle in Charente-Maritime on the initiative of Jean-Louis Foulquier. The festival has since place every year in July (except for the edition of 2003 cancelled because of the conflict between the State and the Contract worker) and accommodates more 122  000 spectators during the week.

Building site of the francos

August 1st In margin of the festival is held the “Building site of the francos”, intended to allow young emergent artists of the French-speaking song to improve their performing arts.

Children of the zique one

Each year, a teaching work, composed of a complete and multi-field collection, a booklet and CD of ten songs, is published with 20  000 specimens and distributed to the teachers of the 30 academies which make the request of it, so that it can make discover with the children the diversity of the inheritance of the French song.
