Franck Goddio , born in 1947, after studies with the National school of the statistics and economic administration (ENSAE), led development projects in Asia on behalf of the the United Nations, before joining the funds Saoudi of development to Riyadh, and launching out in 1991 in the underwater Archeology to broad of the Filipino .
In 1994, an exposure to the Grande market of the Villette in Paris presented to the public the vestiges of San Diego, at the same time as team work, made up famous archivists, engineers, plungers, archeologists, scientists, draftsmen, photographers and scenario writers.
It founds in 1985 the European Institut of underwater archeology, with for ambition seeking wrecks, ensuring the excavation of it, and, if share would be allotted of right to “inventor” (the person which finds the wreck), this one could not be sold, but presented to the public during exposures or by donations with museums. It contributes thus to the enrichment of the French cultural heritage by its donation with the Musée Guimet.
To find the cast French wrecks at the time of the “'' battles of the Nile ''”, it settles with 6,5km with broad of the excavations of the Phare of Alexandria carried out by Jean-Yves Empereur, and, in roads of Aboukir, by 8 m basic, it finds Canope and Héracléion, two absorbed Egyptian cities, of which fabulous vestiges - 7000 parts, are the subject of a great exposure to the Large palace: Treasures absorbed of Egypt from December 9th, 2006 to March 16th, 2007.
