Franck Chabry

Franck Chabry was born (with Lausanne in 1916 and deceased with Geneva in 1979) is a Artist-painter and professor of art Suisse.

Biography

After a childhood and an adolescence passed with Paris, it is fixed as of 1930 in Geneva. It follows there in particular the courses of pH. Hainard with the School of the Art schools.

The granting of a Swiss federal purse allowed him, of 1948 to 1950, to resume studies of painting in Paris, with the Grande Thatched cottage, under the direction of professors Planson, Lestrille Mac' Avoy. It was itself professor with the decorative Arts of Geneva, of 1961 to 1979, year of its death.

Its works were exposed in many galleries, among which:

Franck Chabry also took part in demonstrations such as the International exhibition of Paris, the OEV with the Large Museum of Geneva, the Swiss national Exposure to the Museum of Aarau, exposures SPAS and SSBA to the Musée Rath of Geneva, Salon of free art (Paris), Salon of the French artists (Paris), Salon of autumn (Paris).

The Museum of the Art schools of La Chaux-de-Fonds and the Musée of the Athenaeum in Geneva also exposed works of Franck Chabry and the Musée of art and history of Geneva became purchaser of two paintings.

Independently of the Swiss federal Stock Exchange which was allotted to him in 1948, Franck Chabry received the first price of the 42e contest Calame, Geneva; he was prize winner of the living room of the French artists, Paris 1976 and was named member of the living room of autumn, Paris 1977.
