Franck Cammas

Franck Cammas is a navigator French, born the December 22nd 1972 with Aix-en-Provence. He lives in Brittany since his victory with the Challenge Crédit Agricole Hope in 1994. After having made " maths sup" , " maths spé" and the academy of piano, Franck Cammas finally decides to sail. In 1997, at 24 years, it gains the Solitaire of the Barber and bars later one year its first fore-mentioned Trimaran Groupama. In spite of its late entry in the competition, it belongs to the sailors most talented and respected in the world ORMA.

The sea is not only its only passion. Indeed, it practices the Ski and several sliding sports. He is also father of two little girls.

Currently Skipper on the trimarans Groupama II and III, he is champion ORMA 2006. The Trimaran Groupama II is used on the competitions of championship ORMA. Groupama III is intended for the program of the records. It finishes in 5th position (on 74 sailors) of the Route of Rum 2006 with Groupama II, in 8 days, 17 hours, 55 mn and 17 seconds.
