Francisque Duret
Francisque Joseph Duret known as Francisque Duret is a French sculptor of the 19th century, born with Paris in 1804 and died in this same city in 1865.
Biography
Raise of the baron Bosio, Francisque Duret gains - jointly with Auguste Dumont - the Prix of Rome of sculpture in 1823 with a Bas-relief “ Douleur of Évandre over the body of his/her son Pallas ”. It leaves then for the Villa Médicis to Rome the following year and remains until in 1828 there.Professor with the school of the Art schools of Paris of 1852 with 1863, he will be in particular the Master of the sculptors Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux and Henri Chapu.
