Francisella tularensis (in the past Pasteurella tularensis ) is a Bactérie causing the Tularémie.
The human tularaemia appears by a painless Ulcère with the hearth of infection, accompanied by puffiness of the lymphatic ganglia local (ulcéroganglionnaire); sudden appearance of pain and a fever which lasts usually 3-6 weeks in the absence of treatment; the inhalation of the organization can determine a pneumopathy or a primary typhoid form of the disease; the stocks of the type B involve a rate of lethality of 5 15%; mortality is approximately 35% in the pulmonary form caused by stocks of the type A.
The animals likely to be infected are them: wild animals (rabbits) and birds and also certain pets and finally the human one.
The incubation period is of 1-14 days, usually 3 -5 days.
