Francisco de Quiñones (about 1475-1540) was a Spanish Cardinal.
Born in the Kingdom from Leon, he was the son of a Count de Luna. He entered to the Cordeliers, and became general of the order in 1522, then bishop of Coria (1539) and of Palestine (1540).
He had, in 1527, obtained Charles-Quint the delivery of the pope Clément VII that the Impériaux retained with the Château Saint-Angel.
There is of him a Bréviaire, printed under the name of Breviarium romanum with Rome in 1535 which, although approved popes Clément VII, Paul III, Jules III and Paul IV, was censured by the Sorbonne and was prohibited by Pie V.
