Francisco Sobrino

Born in 1932 in Guadalajara, Spain.

Painter and sculptor of the Kinetic art.

1946: Francisco Sobrino starts to work the drawing and the sculpture at the Technical school of Madrid.

1949 It for the Argentinian and follows the courses of the National school of the Art schools of Buenos Aires, where it meets Hugo Demarco, Horacio Garcia Rossi and Julio the Park.

1961: Juxtaposed forms giving rise to new forms (transparent Plexiglass): Indefinite spaces.

1962: Permutationnelles structures (transparent Plexiglass). Use of modular forms (squares) encased by juxtapositions and superpositions, these forms lose the direction of their position in space (unspecified position).

1963: Permutable structures (reflections), steel works, stainless polished, mirror by reflection, obtaining virtual forms; works moving. Direct participation of the spectator: Ludic pulsations, works.

1965: Mechanical movement (indefinite Oppositions).

1966: light and movement, virtual images Red Green, alive Space environment.

1967: transmission of the movement In the wind with the direct participation of the spectator. Mechanical movement linear Transformations. 1970: random movement Delivers in the wind.

1971: Ballet Ligeti Requiem, Adret, Sobrino.

1973: He refuses the official invitation to represent Spain with the Biennale de Venise.
