Francis Walker

Francis Walker is a British Entomologiste , born the July 31st 1809 with Southgate and dead the October 5th 1874 with Wanstead.

Walker is described like “the most industrial entomologist and producer that the Great Britain forever produced” (Essig, 1931). He travels much and collects very many specimens for the British Museum.

Among the 87 publications which one knows of him, it is necessary to quote its catalogs on the orthoptères, the neuroptères, the homoptères, the dipterous, the lépidoptères and the hyménoptères.
