Francis Lorentz , born in 1942, is leading French of company in the field of information the Technologies and the communication.

Biography

Graduate of HEC Paris and former student of ÉNA, he was high-civil servant at the Management of the Treasury of the ministry for Finances then managing director to the Lyonnaise of Water. he was then chairman of Bull then, between 1992 and 1994, of the RATP. He was then in load of Laser, a subsidiary company of the group of the Galeries Lafayette which manages the credit cards and the client relationships of the group.

He chaired the mission for the development of the E-business near the Minister for the Economy and Finances, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, as from October 1997 and had the results of this mission in May 1998.

He was also professor of economy to the university Paris-Dauphine of 1995 to 2000.

He chairs since 2000, to replace Marc Tessier, the IDATE (Institute of audio-visual and telecommunications in Europe), one of the principal centers of studies and council in Europe specialized in the analysis of the sectors of communication and information technologies and is associated within a consultancy in strategy and fusion-acquisition (Lorentz, Deschamps and Associés).
