Francis Gillot is a former French player of football become trainer. He was born the February 9th 1960 with Villers-Lord-Nicole, close to Maubeuge. He involved the Racing Club of Lens of 2005 to 2007.
After having begun its career of trainer while being occupied from the young people with Sochaux, it came to Lens to assist Joel Muller with the head of the team of the Racing Club of Lens in 2005. It occupies the place of trainer of Lens since the dismissal of Joel Müller.
Its offensive play, its outspokenness and its confidence towards the young players are appreciated by the supporters which reproach him however its lack of energy and a sometimes disconcerting coaching. In July 2006, it starts its third season with Blood and Gold, after having hung one 4th place at the conclusion of the preceding one. In spite of a thundering beginning of the season, its club only finishes 5th of L1. He resigns of his station the May 28th 2007 after Racing had missed the qualification for the Ligue by the Champions at the time of the last day after having been on the podium during most of the season. However, it always occupies a station in Racing, that of supervisor.
