End of the history
The concept of Fin of the history had initially been imagined by Hegel and taken again in various ways by several philosophers, Karl Marx in particular. For Fukuyama as for Hegel, the History will be completed the day when a universal consensus on the democracy will put a final point at the ideological conflicts.Fukuyama published a first article on the subject (“The end off History”) during the summer 1989 in the review The National Interest (article included in the French review Commentaire n° 47, autumn 1989). It develops of them the theses in a discussed book published in 1992: End of the History and the last man , in whom it defends the idea that the progression of the human history, under consideration like a combat between Idéologie S, touches at its end with the consensus on the liberal Démocratie which would tend to be formed after the end of the Cold war.
La Fine of the homme
In the End of the man , Fukuyama expresses its concerns vis-a-vis progress of the Biotechnologies and in particular of their possible applications on the human being. Because they will be able to transform the man with an unsuspected degree hitherto, they are likely to have extremely serious consequences on the political system.
