Belgian Politician , Francis Duriau was born in 1934.

Doctor in Medicine, it enters in policy to Schaerbeek, at the time of the communal elections of 1976, where it obtains from the start a score propelling it to the row of alderman in spite of a place in bottom of list. President of CPAS during more than 10 years (of 1982 to 1992), it acquires the reputation of somebody of human and administrative solid. These qualities lead it to the mayorat in 1992, where it succeeds Leon Weustenraad. Its policy of restoration of the commune is quickly crowned success. It is the first to be broken resolutely with the nolsism and to invest in the districts of the bottom of Schaerbeek.
