Francis Domenget

Francis Domenget , born with Boulogne-Billancourt in 1926 and died in Rheims in 1993, was a Master engraver and teaching French.

Studies

Raise of Camy and of Jean Chièze (many works with the castle of Vogue), massier of the École of the fine arts, he was prize winner, section engraving, of the 25th promotion (1954-1955) of the Casa of Velázquez, at the same time as:

Career

He worked for largest Joaillier S of the Place Vendôme as an engraver of jewels and gold ornaments. The owners of these invaluable objects are unaware of that they contemplate the single specimen, never drawn because in three dimensions, of an engraving carried out of hand of Master, though seldom signed for safety reasons.

Parallel to a career of teacher at the school of Montcel of Jouy-in-Josas, it prepared a restricted number pupils with the contests of ENSBA or ENSAD, of which TXO.

Saddened by family disappointments and mournings, it produced little in spite of a very sure hand which had been worth to him to be noticed young and which would have ensured a great radiation its figurative works which install characters and decorations in a space composition of a rigor inspired by the Spanish Masters that it appreciated, in the forefront of which Goya, engraver, of which it had an original print.
