Monseigneur Francis Deniau , born in 1936, is a Prélat French, bishop of Nevers, and chair episcopal committee of the relations with the Judaïsme.
Biography
Born from a father engineer and a mother secretary, all the two originating ones in the
Loire Valley, it passes its youth to Paris in the 18th district. It follows its studies to the Lycée Condorcet then returns to the seminar of
Issy-les-Moulineaux. It will carry out its military service during the Guerre of Algeria. It is ordered priest in October 1961, it leaves to follow 2 years of studies to Rome at the time of the first sessions on the council the Vatican II. Of return in France, it is Aumônier students with the Latin Quarter then with
Nanterre of 1964 to 1970, which it qualifies with humor of “
period interesting ” then for the universities of Creteil and Saint-Maur until 1972. It then will take part in the formation of the priests and laic for the Diocèse of Nanterre. It deals with its first parish in 1978 while becoming cleaned Saint-Remy cheese with
Vanves. In 1985, he becomes general vicar near the bishop of Nanterre, Mgr
François Favreau and in 1997 becomes cleaned parish of
Puteaux. During these years, it continues to work with the university parish. It is ordered bishop of Nevers on October 4th, 1998.

Monseigneur Deniau is president of the episcopal committee of the relationships to the Judaism. He took part between the 23 and on February 28th
