Francis Arthur Cockfield (September 28th 1916 - January 8th 2007), baron Cockfield, was a British Politician .

When Margaret Thatcher becomes Prime Minister in 1979, it is named Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury posts that it occupies until in 1982 date on which it named with the Trade until in 1983.

In 1984, it is elected chancellor of the Duché of Lancaster until September 1984. Of 1985 with 1989, he is member of the European commission chaired by Jacques Delors of which he is vice-president in load of the single European market.
