Francis Buchanan White is a Botaniste and a Scottish Entomologiste , born the March 20th 1842 with Perth and dead the December 3rd 1894 in this same city.
It obtains its Medical Doctorate with the Université of Edinburgh in 1864. It Marie with Margaret Juliet Corrie in 1866. It founds in 1871 the Scottish Naturalist Magazine . It takes part, in 1867, with the foundation of Perthshire Society off Natural History and in 1874, with that of Cryptogamic Society off Scotland. He is also member of several others learned societies.
White is in particular the author of the Fauna Perthensis, Lepidoptera (1871), The Flora off Perthshire (1898) as well as many scientific articles.
