Francis Bouygues born the December 5th 1922 with Paris and dead the July 24th 1993 is the founder of the group of BTP Bouygues, now directed by one of its sons, Martin Bouygues.
Provided with a research department and a “office of the methods”, its company specializes, in these years of post-war period marked by a strong housing shortage, in the methods of industrial premises, Francis Bouygues breaking with the timorées and family practices which dominated in the profession.
This modernistic ambition meets that of the political planners of IVe République. Named in 1955 adviser technical with the ministry for the Rebuilding under Robert Duchet, Francis Bouygues acquires a useful experiment and knowledge there.
These employees frame a majority of workers of immigrant origin who account for 88% of the personnel to the beginning of the year 1970. They do not profit from the same attentions and Francis Bouygues declares about them in November 1971: “ We cannot form it because if we form it, we do not have the hope to preserve it. These people-there came to France to earn money. And from there, it is equal for them to work twelve hours per day and even sixteen hours the summer when they can it. ”
It is one of the characters key of the Scandale Aranda.
There leaves the company to his son Martin Bouygues in 1989 and, while remaining administrator of the group, is devoted to the film production until its death in 1993.
