Francis Bouygues born the December 5th 1922 with Paris and dead the July 24th 1993 is the founder of the group of BTP Bouygues, now directed by one of its sons, Martin Bouygues.

The engineer of the rebuilding

Engineer of the central School of Paris (1947" A") like his father Georges (1913) and his oldest son Nicolas (1971), it settles in 1952, at 29 years, as building contractor.

Under its direction the lines of business will not cease extending in the building, on the international market since 1972, but also in public works and the real estate, and in 1986 Bouygues becomes the first world group of the BTP. It repurchases TF1 in 1987. There leaves the company to his son Martin Bouygues in 1989 and, while remaining administrator of the group, is devoted to the film production until its death in 1993.
