The Stade Francis-Turcan is a Football stadium French located at Martigues. It accommodates the matches of the Football Club of Martigues since its inauguration in 1965.
History
The stage bears the name to Francis Turcan (1912-1968) which was the first mayor of the town of Martigues of 1946 1947 then of 1959 with 1968.
With its creation in 1965, the capacity of the stage is of 3.000 places. It offers infrastructures and equipment improved compared to the old Aldéric-Chave stage. It stage has only one platform, the platform Paradis , which to date remains the only covered platform of the stage.
At the time of the accession of FC Martigues in Division 1 in 1993, the Francis-Turcan stage is arranged in order to be able to accommodate to 11.500 spectators sitted. Three additional platforms are built: the platform Channel , the Western Weighing , and the Western Weighing , the latter being reserved for the supporters visitors.
